Food and more food.

Here we go!

I am becoming a foodie.

I am gaining weight and increasing in the volume of fat that is in me.

GASPS. I dare not look at the weighing scale.

I had trouble pulling up one of my skirts too.

Well anyway, Mickey brought me to a place famous for its pratas. It's called Fong Seng, located somewhere at Clementi, you can reach it by taking bus 183 from Jurong East Bus Interchange.

I ordered a Combo prata[tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and cheese] and a cheese onion prata. Mickey had a pineapple prata that came served drizzled with some maple syrup, and a mushroom prata.

The cheese was, well, very cheesy. Resembling a pizza. It was pretty good, though I tad expensive, but since it's famous and its ingredients/fillings are generous, I suppose it's worth the price. Mickey says the place is usually very crowded at night, which I suppose is true, because they have an extended portion for the customers and tables.

Apparently 2 cheesy pratas wasn't enough to satisfy our high-metabolism-stricken Mickey.
So he ordered a Nasi Lemak, which was quite good, because it had me drooling even though I was on the verge of burping like a toad in his face.

'Oh yes, you want it, don't you? Here have a piece of this juicy chicken wing.' Mickey tempts me with nasi lemak.

With a rounded belly, we left the place. And soon he complained of a tummy ache, no I'm not saying that the food is bad or anything.. aah... Mickey jsut has a highly sensitive stomach. Chance is, he probably just needed to get rid of some stuffs in there.

And there it is.. our foodie trip :)

It is often said that opposites attract.

I beg to differ. Studies have shown that people do themselves, and therefore will like someone who looks somewhat similar to them.

Below is a simple observation I have made:

Oh yes, these two are fatally attracted to each other :) Or so I hope!

wahahaa.

Merry Christmas y'all!

I would consider this year's Christmas the best I've ever had.

Thanks Sweetheart.

I would consider meeting you the best present I ever stumbled upon too :) Love you.

He brought me to a Japanese restaurant that's located on top of a hill- a hilltop.

And so very simply, the restaurant is named Hilltop Japanese. Ha.

But it's a wonderful place.

Situated at Jurong, about walking distance from the Jurong Bird Park ( oh yes I walked downhill at 10pm with 2.5 inch heels ] , the Hilltop is-Fantastic.

The air and breeze there is the freshest and coolest yet, and if you visit the place early evening when the sky is still clear, you might be able to catch some birds fluttering around, as well as eagles in the sky. We caught sight of about 4 eagles today. Grass here greener too!

The Japanese restaurant is also famous for its Teppanyaki, which I feel it lives up to its name.
We were brought into a divided room for Teppanyaki, where the chef would cook your dishes in front of you.

We ordered

King Prawns [$20]
Sirloin Steak [$22]
Scallops [$20]
Soft Shell Crab [$6]
Olive Rice with Chicken [$3]

The King prawns were huge, its head alone was bigger than the average shrimp we saw in markets. But pricey too! It was only one prawn per person, but boy was it good.

The chef was pretty skillful I suppose, before I could even whip out my phone to capture his art, the chef had already sliced and deveined the prawn.

The staff served the olive rice soon after, it was pretty good.

The big fresh scallops came after that, if I remember correctly...

Followed by complimentary bean sprouts, not bad, tho a tad bland.

The soft shell crab was wrapped in a egg omelette, resembling the type in Ramly's burgers or something. hm... Mickey didn't comment much about it, but I found the crab a bit heavy on the seasoning; too strong for my tastebuds.

The highlight was the steak- Where the chef practically set the steak on fire and whoa was it hot! The fire was like huge, as tall as the chef, and you could suddenly feel the surge of heat from the frying.. pan? LOL whatever you call it.

Awesome.

However, we didn't manage to catch a shot at its flamiest.. this is how it was when it started to die off.

The minus was the the smell of smoke and oily food lingering in my hair and everything else around me, which includes my boyfriend too : [

But I guess that's expected.

Oh and they dress you up in ugly orange bibs. At least Mickey looks like a cute chef who can't stop grining at the customer because he's too excited =x , but I look like I'm wearing the Chinese du tou! For those who don't know what's a du tou.. it's a type of lingerie worn by ancient Chinese women.

Oh and our chef wasn't too friendly, he was scowling and wincing all the time. But he did mention it was because the heat from the pan was very hot. And we heard him swear under his breath at the waitress. And he's bald! I didn't expect to see a sparse patchy head when he bent down to adjust the heat *snickers

The meal ended with me chewing on some parsley or coriander or some herb, and wringing in distaste, with a big gulp of japanese green tea to wash it down.

We were then sent to another room for another complimentary dessert- Mango Pudding.

Yum.

I'm half-drunk and all floaty after all that food in my tummy. *swoons*

Good food makes you get all ecstatic sometimes.

Oh and the ambiene is pretty good; cosy and dim lighting.

I'm so gonna grow fat.

We had our bill and it summed up to $88.20. No service charge! *nods in approval

We proceeded to get some pee out of our systems...

LOL

Then we walked up the spiral tower, to the top!

Ah, the night view is gorgeous.

It overlooks Jurong Island, a huge island with lots of factories and harbours. Plenty of lights.

A tad blur, kinda artsy tho.

It's so windy up there it made my long purple skirt fly over the place, and there was once it flew so high it could feel a piece of the fabric of my panties when i hurriedly shoved my arms down to flatten it! Fortunately, no one was there to view it.

Over shoulder shot of Jurong Island.

I liked the feeling of my skirt flying though. It is sort of... nice. and good. shrugs.

And we have our spirits high and happy!!!!!!!!! *coz we're so hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhh...*

Long and exhausting yesterday.

Mickey and I set off early noon for IKEA to send two cupboards for refund. Their staff refunded me 240 dollars in cash and I was very excited to have a thick stack of cash stuffed in my wallet, and my wallet couldn't close because it was too fat!

And Mickey being the sweetie he was, offered to help me stash the cash in his wallet, which I politely declined and he looked crestfallen after that :), thanks but no, I will gladly keep the cash to myself. muahhaaha.

We bought a green stool, 4 bowls [at only 75 cents each!], 3 metal rimmed photo frames [for my self obsession] and went to Queensway or Town where Mickey shopped for shoes. Fussy him saw ten thousand pair of shoes but only 2 caught his eye. After walking thru just about every single sports retailer, he finally settled on the very first or second shop we went to, on the first shoe he set his eyes on and said, 'Nice ar...' ; a classic white Adidas sneaker with 3 stripes on its side.

I bought him a brown Nike shirt which had unique stitchings and badges sewn on for Christmas. :) I think it's his first brown shirt- If I'm not wrong, his wardrobe has only black, white and lots of blue pieces.

It started to drizzle after we finished shopping, and so we strolled to the bus stop in the rain, which he sarcastically said was '...your favourite what... Romantic right???'

Right... my makeup is like melting in the rain.

Bus 14 we took from Queentown, headed for town.

We took some pictures in the bus too. =D

Shopped at Far East where Mickey was lugging all the shopping bags from IKEA around the mall. I offered to help carry the bags for him but he just simply wouldn't let me. :
And I'm going back to Far East to buy a shirt I missed. Teehee.
AND THERE'S A FLEA MARKET GOING ON AT TANGLIN MALL TODAY!!!

Which I am so missing. =( Sighs.

Oh.. look at the time. I'm meeting him for a movie, followed by dinner at Hilltop Japanese Restaurant. What a imaginative name. -.-

hoho.

Time to select clothes carefully for my X'mas date with Mickey!

To be continued. Along with pictures. =D

lalala.

I was reading Maxine's second latest post about girls mentally calculating and accumulating/deducting brownie points when they are out with their guys.

I can so relate to that! :) I think every girl does that involuntarily. Especially the first date.

Which reminds me of my first date with Mickey :D

I have a pretty vague memory of it now, because I have short term memory and I just can't remember stuffs that are over a day old.

But i remember rolling my eyes yesterday when I wore my turqoise tee and he said 'cute tee!'
'What??? I wore it so many times liao, now then you say cute?'
'Where got!!'

'I wore it on my first date with you!!!' [exasperatedly, rolling eyes, mentally MINUS MINUS points!]

But anyway, I am constantly deducting and adding points in my head when I'm out with Mickey though I have never really managed to finalise the points. I think someone should invent a 'Brownie Point Sheet' and give it out to all the girls.

With a little brown pencil, we will scribble away furiously at the sheet when we are out with a date, and make the poor kid sweat as we scrutinize him and his actions.

HO
HO
HO
HO
*evil laughter

=[ Okay, so I'm a tad mean.

Mickey says I'm a mean girlfriend.

And I say, 'Dump me lar!'

He'll look at me with a look of defeat and reply wryly 'You win. I wouldn't dare.'

I would smile triumphantly. 'Don't I always?' :)

Well, it's only because Mickey is a sweet and a giving boyfriend.

Just recently, I was looking for a ZA concealer in Shade 02, which suits my skin tone almost perfectly. To my horror, many Watson's outlets was all sold out in Shade 02! I whined to Mickey and he was sympathetic, patting my hand and saying you'll find it soon, don't worry k? I sighed, thinking I had to expose my, my,my, flawful complexion to the whole world.

And and and!
The next date I had with him, he handed me a Watson's plastic bag.
'Whatzat?'

I peered into the tiny plastic bag, and to my surprise it was the ZA concealer sitting inside! in shade 02! Waiting for me!!

'OMG You found it??! Where???! How did you know I wanted it??! '

'Shade 02 right?? West Mall got a lot. '

'Wah you remember! '[+++++++++++ points]

'Yah of course what! I'm your boyfriend leh' he says casually.

'thaaaaaaaaaaaanks!' I say quite shyly, not knowing what exactly to say at his simple but thoughtful gesture.

'thanks only ar?' he teases. [points still plus-sing]

=D Mickey is sweet. heeeee.

Ah, I can almost feel the glow.

It feels good to be finally exercising after about 3 years of procrastination.

Yes, I have been cowering away from exercise, because I am a lazy bum.
Yes, lazy bum. I should buy a B.U.M shirt like Eve has, that is like sitting above her backside.

I woke up, after hitting the snooze button several times and knew Igonna be late.. for whose class? My woozy mind pondered slowly as I brushed my teeth.. and realised, AH!!!! Ms Soo! DIE.

:( Suddenly her words from 'yesterweek' rang a loud in my head, 'Those who are late again next week will have a surprise, and this time if you do not have your tutorial sheet, you can forget about coming to class, I will mark you absent even if you are present.'

And her straight, slightly pissed face from all the late comers, which includes people like me.

I wringe.

And contemplated to skip class or not. After making a couple of phone calls to my team mates, I decided that I had to nurse a headache at home. [ooh, that aching head... is throbbing]

FAINTS ON FLOOR WITH A SPLAT.

Already dressed by then, with make-up on my face too, I looked out of the window and breathed, took a deep breath i mean. 'Aaaaaaah! What a wonderful morning!'

Indeed it was, it was a cool, cloudy morning.

And I decided to go jogging!

[Maxine's echo: WHAT?! JOGGING?!?!!]

Yes, sweetie, jogging. :)

The jogging would certainly clear my headache, and remove all the bad toxins that are trapped in me, which is probably causing my skin to breakout because of trapped toxic toxins, and breaking out into a good sweat would make the toxins burst from my pores. Sounds like a zit erupting. EEw.

The thought was making me excited already.

lalalalaaaaaaaa.... chirping away merrily... I popped some Cod Liver Oil capsules, some Evening Primrose Oil Capsules, and felt very healthy indeed.

Had a slice of raisin bread from Bonjour!.

Jog alone?!!!

HEH.

I went to the bedroom and looked at my sister Sydney who looked so comfy and warm in bed. I shook her violently and croaked in her ear, 'SYDNEY!!! Wanna go jogging with meeeeeeeeee!??'

And she did! Ah, nice lil sister of mine. :D

I ran one big round around my estate[i certainly wish it was all mine, but nevermind.], which was about 800m, I think.

With Sydney cycling breezily beside me, I panted and gasped for air like a fish out of water, like an idiot.

Then we proceeded to a nearby park, called Tekong Park!

Where they had a running track, and a 'railway' track, as Sydney calls it, she is expecting a choo-choo train to burst out of nowhere behind her.

I ran TWO freaking rounds which was about 800m too!

Okay, walked and jogged, and my sister ringing her bell behind me going, 'DON'T WALK LAR YOU FAT PIG! QUICK RUN AND YOU WILL BE SLIM LIKE MEEEEE!'

Easy for her to say who is like sailing behind me on a bike.

Pants
pants
gasps
gasps
gasps
gasps

sharp gasp.

died.

I MADE IT! I RAN! I FINALLY EXERCISED!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!

I bet y'all are so proud of me!

Mommy was too :D

After a quick cold blast of showers, Sydney & I went down the coffee shop for some nice Century Egg Porridge and I had Porky Porridge with teh , and a copy of Straits Times to go.

How wonderfully wonderful. :) Ah... this is the life.

Oh my insane Sister is singing Candy Shop. Good Grief!

And she only knows the WHOA part. dang.

City's breakin' down on a camel's back.
They just have to go 'cuz they dont know whack
So all of you fill the streets it's appealing to see.
You wont get out the county, 'cos you're bad and free
You've got a new horizon it's federal style.
A melancholy town where we never smile
And all I wanna hear is the message beep.
My dreams, they gotta kissing, 'cuz I don’t get sleep, no.

*BEEP* Windmill, Windmill for the land.
Turn forever hand in hand.
Take it all in on your stride.
It is sinking, falling down.
Love forever love is free.
Time forever,you and me.
