I saw a trailer for Channel U's chuan xin Superstar, and to my horror, that blind guy, was one of the two male finalists left.

I'm don't want to appear to be discriminating.
i am ,aren't i?

However, he-must-not-win.

I'm sure he is a very talented singer, but performer? Maybe not. He may be able to sing really well, but he can't dance, and singing is all he can do.

It's good they accepted him into the competition, it's amazing he made it this far, & I thought he'd be eliminated last week, leaving the 2 other guys who were able to see.

What does it mean if he emerges the champion? It means SG has limited talents-and their chinese 'Superstar' is blind.
It means the two other guys lost to a blind guy.
It means we're pathetic.
It just projects a poor image of Singapore.

How far can he go?
Alright, if he hides his real identity like that Ocean Yang guy(i heard he looks like an uncle), some might buy his album for his voice. Unlike the rest, he can't do advertisements or promotion for any company, (Blind man as a spokesman?! puh leaze! i'll definitely NOT buy that product), he'll stay a hidden singer, and someday his singing career will just fade and return to basking.

BUT.

I do (honest), admire him for his courage to take that step and show SGreans that hey, i'm blind but i'm not useless. If I were blind, i doubt I'll be able to things in stride like he did. *applauds

& i definitely wouldn't be able to find something I'm good at.
I haven't even discovered my talent. Damn.

I contradict myself, I know.

May the best man win. (yuk cliche yes)
